Llyr Williams

Leading Welsh pianist Llŷr Williams makes his Menuhin Hall debut with a recital spanning the late Romantic and early 20th-century repertoire. The programme ranges from Debussy’s enchanting Children’s Corner to Liszt’s masterful transcriptions of Wagner, including the Spinning Chorus from The Flying Dutchman, O du mein holder Abendstern from Tannhäuser, and the moving Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde. 

Renowned for his insightful, expressive performances, Williams appears regularly at leading concert halls and festivals, has an acclaimed discography with Signum Records, and is Artist-in Association at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. A former BBC New Generation Artist, he promises an unforgettable evening.
