Julian Joseph, one of the most influential figures in British jazz, presents Atmospheres in Audio Theatre — an ambitious new project that reimagines the live concert experience through immersive sound. Joined by Alok Verma (tabla), Kaidi Akinnibi (saxophone) and Anjelo Disons Ntege (autonomous soundscape influencer), Joseph combines acoustic virtuosity with real-time digital processing to create a performance unlike anything previously heard at the Menuhin Hall. Featuring newly composed music alongside bold reinterpretations inspired by Paganini, Mozart, John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter and other iconic composers, the programme transforms familiar musical ideas into evolving sonic landscapes where improvisation, technology and spatial sound blur the boundaries between concert, installation and performance art.
