Full programme: Quartet for Four Violins - Bacewicz; Poème ‘Au Rouet,’ Rêve d’enfant, Mazurka No. 3 ‘Lointain Passé’ - Ysaÿe; Violin Sonata - Franck
Award-winning violinist and professor, Natalia Lomeiko, is joined by Spanish pianist and chamber musician, Iván Martín, as well as her pupils from the Yehudi Menuhin School. The concert will open with a performance of Grażyna Bacewicz’s magnificent Quartet for Four Violins, followed by pieces from Lomeiko’s recent album featuring rare gems by the Belgian violinist and composer, Eugène Ysaÿe. The second half will be dedicated to one of the greatest pillars of violin repertoire: César Franck’s unforgettable Sonata for Violin and Piano.
