About Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective

After a sell-out debut in our 2025/26 season, the Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective returns for another thrilling concert packed with sensational chamber music performed by some of the UK’s foremost musicians including YMS Director of Music, Rosalind Ventris. Spanning over a century of music, the programme pairs Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s lyrical Piano Trio with Ralph Vaughan Williams’ expansive Piano Quintet, before contrasting Gabriella Smith’s vibrant Divertimento with Mendelssohn’s youthful and exuberant Piano Sextet. Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective was dreamed up in 2017 by Tom Poster and Elena Urioste, who met through the BBC New Generation Artists Scheme. Kaleidoscope’s flexible roster features many of today’s most inspirational musicians, both instrumentalists and singers, and its creative programming is marked by an ardent commitment to celebrating diversity of all forms and a desire to unearth lesser-known gems of the repertoire.
