Seven Sayings: Triumph

Programme includes: Beethoven Symphony No. 5 | Chopin Piano Concert No. 2. 

As we near the end of our seven-concert journey, we present Beethoven’s iconic 5th Symphony, hailed by E.T.A. Hoffmann as “one of the most important works of the time”, performed alongside Chopin's work of "indescribable beauty" his Piano Concerto No. 2 – though we could not resist adding timpani to bring to life Fate's four knocks on the door as the unrelenting Fifth Symphony charges towards its triumphant climax. 

Get together friends and family (don’t forget about our group discount), bring a picnic and enjoy an afternoon of sunshine (we hope) and glorious music. Our grounds and bar will be open from 4pm with plenty of chilled Prosecco and fresh Pimm’s on offer. 

There will be a 75-minute interval, giving you plenty of time to enjoy your picnic.
