About Family Day: Pictures at an Exhibition
Ready your paint brushes as our Summer Festival Family Day gets stuck into the amazing world of art and painting. As we celebrate Modest Mussorgsky’s original masterpiece Pictures at an Exhibition, not only will presenter Keelan Carew and YMS pupils take you on a fantastical tour of promenades, ancient castles and glorious cities, but Baba Yaga – the renowned witch in Slavic folklore – will be leaving her house that walks through the forest on chicken legs to pay us a visit in the Menuhin Hall.
In addition, there will be plenty of games and activities to enjoy in the school grounds including arts and crafts stations where children can paint and even learn how to compose graphic scores with the help of our pupils.
The grounds will be open from 1-5pm so there will be plenty of time to enjoy all that is on offer.
