Claire Martin with the Sjöstedt Trio

Renowned UK jazz vocalist and multi-award winner, Claire Martin OBE, reunites with her accomplished trio, led by the exceptional pianist and arranger Martin Sjöstedt, for their latest collaborative endeavour - 'Almost in Your Arms' (Stunt Records). This marks their second collaboration, promising an extraordinary musical journey. 

The album features distinguished guest soloists, including English singer Charlie Wood in a captivating duet covering Tom Waits' 'This One’s from the Heart'. Joining this stellar lineup are American vibes virtuoso Joe Locke and Swedish saxophone ace Karl-Martin Almqvist, adding layers of depth and artistry. 

'Almost in Your Arms' beautifully highlights Claire's unparalleled skill in seamlessly blending classic jazz standards, such as the title track from the movie 'Houseboat', with contemporary pieces by the likes of Elvis Costello, Rufus Wainwright, and Mark Winkler. 

The continuation of her 2024/25 tour of Europe with the accomplished Sjöstedt, one of Sweden’s most gifted and talked about jazz musicians, offers imaginative new arrangements of contemporary material exclusively for this exciting project.
